Welcome to another What's On Your Work Desk Wednesday

Morning peeps,

Not much on my work desk right now as I've had to move the table of craftiness as we've carpet fitters due this morning and all the furniture had to be moved beforehand.

Mind you, I managed to make this before the big move ...

My card

The insert and reverse of the envelope

The front of the envelope and the co-ordinating tag

Materials used:
  • 1 piece of  8" x 8" DCWV patterned card folded and cut to make an A2/C7 card and tag
  • Matching sized envelope
  • Snippets of white card (for image), black card and mid blue card
  • Crop-a-dile used to punch a 3/8" hole and set a matching eyelet in to the tag
  • Inkadinkado scottie dog (from the patterned pets set) stamped on to snippets of white card and a post it using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Once masked the Studiog frame was stamped around the scottie using Versafine Imperial blue ink
  • Alcohol and marvy le plume II pens used to colour the image
  • Stardust stickles to highlight
  • Stampendous miscellaneous birthday sentiments (from the birthday wish set) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink

I'll be entering this for the following challenges:
  1. Glitter and Sparkle - challenge No. 161 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - challenge No. 21 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Paper Take Weekly - 3rd November challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Through The Craft Room Door - November 3rd - 9th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  5. Try It On Tuesday - 28th October challenge - LOTS OF LAYERS .. five layers, sounds like it should fit the criteria!

And then .... it was right back to Christmas. I've a crafting pal visiting almost daily right now and, yesterday she set herself the project to make a batch of Christmas cards using the Inkadinkado Holiday Evergreen set. She selected an image from the set ....... so I picked a different image from the same set and set to work. THEN she changed her mind and used the same image as me ... if you would like to see her gorgeous batch then pop over here, I'm particularly liking the purple one and kind of hoping it was made with someone (???) in mind!

My card

And a closer view of the image panel

And my co-ordinating insert and envelope

Materials used:

  • Two pieces of white card cut to 9½ x 13cm and one piece cut to 10 x 13½cm
  • Larger panel coloured with a green alcohol marker and then over stamped with a DRS Design splatter image using Distress Ink in peacock feathers
  • Inkadinkado image (from the Holiday evergreen set) and Recollections sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • A mixture of alcohol and Marvy le plume II markers used to colour
  • Stardust stickles and Tsukineko gelly roll clear glitter pen to highlight

Here's how the day started

Around lunchtime it looked like this

And here's where it all went!

Look out for another post from me today, can't say more in this post but ...... EDITED .. just re-read the e-mail and my "2nd post" should be tomorrow ... so, not today at all then. Thank GOODNESS I spotted it BEFORE I published! They wouldn't be asking me again!

Looks like the poor old craft table has been on a starvation diet. Glad to see you have set up camp nearby. I admire your perspicacity :oD LOVE that beautiful pine cone! Fab! Lx

I like the jazzy birthday card A LOT . . . but the colouring of the pine cone image on your Christmas card took my breath away. OUTSTANDING.

Blimey . . . the table of craftiness must've felt a bit of draughtiness! Fancy showing a naked table . . . shame on you! Get it a tablecloth for its modesty!

Hugs, Sarn xxx
