Welcome to the start of another week ..

Morning all,

Not too many sleeps till Christmas and last posting dates loom large (see them here) - how's the work on those last minute Christmas cards coming along?

We've had the usual flurry of  meets with friends and some Christmas meals to contend with, another on Saturday night with some friends we've not seen since the Balloon Fiesta back in August!, a lovely evening full of chat, laughter and good food and we came home too stuffed to sleep so caught up on the Strictly final!

However, there's always time for a little crafting in my schedule and this is literally a "little" crafting as it's an ATC! .......

My ATC
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in white and grey
  • Full cover post it (for masking)
  • Katzelkraft  (KTZ168 "Les Jungles") image stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink, stamped a second time (without re-inking) on to my post it which I then fussy cut out and placed over my image as a mask
  • Kaisercraft mini grid image stamped using Memento London fog ink
  • Kaisercraft crackle and film edges images stamped using Memento Paris dusk ink
  • Kaisercraft stains image stamped using Adirondack red pepper ink
  • Copic markers (from set B) used to colour the giraffe, I wanted a bolder colour PLUS it makes a change!

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Emerald City - challenge No. 6 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - challenge No. 72 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. The Corrosive Challenge - challenge No. 12 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Colour Crazy - challenge No. 50 - ANYTHING (hand coloured) GOES

And then I thought it was high time to crack out some NBUS (that's Never Before Used Stash - thanks, Darnell, for coining this acronym!) - hard to believe I'm STILL making Christmas cards .. you could be forgiven for thinking I'm terribly behind but I'm actually working on my 2018 quota - howzat for organised?!??!??!?!

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 300gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • 300gsm white card cut to fit the front and insert panel and then slightly smaller white card panel.
  • On to the slightly smaller panel I positioned three strips of the GORGEOUS glitter washi tape I found in Poundstretcher recently (the pink and gold is NBUS!) - isn't it fab?
  • MFT "PEACE" die (also NBUS) placed on to one of my larger white card panels and run through my big shot before attaching to my "glittered" card panel using Tombow mono glue
  • Once the glue was dry I attached the now glittered and die cut panel to my card base using dimensional foam tape
  • For the insert, reverse and envelope I stamped the Inkadinkado sentiment and holly and the Hero Arts "Merry Christmas" using Memento tuxedo black

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. QKR Stampede - challenge No. 274 - CHRISTMAS
  2. CAS-ual Friday - challenge No. 189 - DREAMING OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS
  3. Creative Friday - challenge No. 194 - CHRISTMAS IN UNUSUAL COLOURS (pink /gold/black - unusual? I think so)
  4. Come And Get It - December challenge - CHRISTMAS
  5. AAA Cards - challenge No. 105 - SPARKLE
